When will these “politicians” we have elected to represent us in Congress ever grow up? The job we have sent them to do continues to go undone.
About one month ago I wrote of the outright bribery to be paid, by the taxpayer, to buy votes in the Senate from rogue Democratic Party members who held legislation hostage in order to extort special funding for their respective states from the Federal Government. That bribe will be paid by you and me, the taxpayers. Here is the link if you wish to revisit the post: http://www.congressmandave.org/news.aspx?id=26&articleid=24
Just so you know that this kind of “skunkery” is nonpartisan and practiced by incumbents of all shades, Republicans and Democrats, check out the latest shenanigans from Republican Senator Shelby of Alabama. He has put a blanket hold on any nominations coming from the Executive Branch until his pet projects move forward. Once again, federal taxpayer dollars, paid by you and me, will roll exclusively into Alabama.

Be sure to follow the sub-links within the story so you get a complete picture of exactly what is happening here. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS.
Some will call this politics as usual.
I simply say that is it bad, irresponsible government from both sides. What do you think?
As an American who is beyond tired of “politics as usual” resulting in bad government, I have chosen to try and so something about it. Watching such sleazy politics is what inspired me to run for Congress, with a chance of getting elected and speaking out against this type of quid pro quo that is going to bankrupt this country.
Americans care less about politics than they do about honest government and positive results.
I will give you a weekly (or more often) blog detailing who is doing what and to whom. Who is helping, who is hindering and who is hiding. That is my promise to you, the voter. The only person who really counts in this equation is you, and I will give you the results you seek.
The important question I would ask of you is this: “What are YOU going to do about it come November?”
For the last few decades Republicans and Democrats have made a shambles out of our democracy. They have played off and against each other, drunk with the quest for power and arrogant to the voters who entrusted them with their votes by electing them.
Have you had enough yet?
I have.
