I have been a conservative Republican my entire life.  Luckily, to balance that God blessed me with a fair amount of common sense that allows me to be fair when looking at any issue.  When President Obama was elected I felt it was fair to give him the benefit of the doubt.  After all he is the President of the United States.  He had the vote of the people and I was open minded and hopeful that he could bring us together and make this country a better place.  Now that a year has passed however, I have never been more concerned about the direction and future of our country.

Washington politicians have become so arrogant  that they pay no attention to the will of the people.  They are self serving in ramming through their agenda's while padding their own pockets at the same time...Democrats and Republicans alike.

People say that a vote for an independent is wasted.  That is what the political establishment wants us to think.  They are counting on our complacency.

I sense that there is a revolution brewing.  I believe there are a lot of people just like me...Republicans and Democrats that are absolutely fed up.

That is why I support Dave Glissmeyer...Independent Candidate for the 2nd Congressional District.  He is a self made businessman with a strong sense of fairness and basic values. Some of the issues addressed on Dave's platform are:

Term limits are a good idea
Congress should not be entitled to to fat pensions
Congress should be covered on the same health plan as all other Americans
We need to get immigration under control

People say it sounds good but it is not going to happen.  I used to say that...but you know...I think there really is a revolution brewing and we had better get busy taking our country back before it is to late.

The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators who would serve their terms and then go back home to work.  The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves if they could see what is happening to our country today.

I wanted to take this time to say I support Dave on his bid for the US House. Dave has answered my e-mails and even called me on the phone. I am tired of the major parties control of Government. You may not agree with everything Dave has to say, but he will listen and even change his mind if convinced. Help him get on the ballot as an Independant as he will be one who answers to the people. Read his website.

Having known Dave for 25 years, I not only call him a friend, but a brother-in-arms. You will find no one that has more passion in supporting a cause. He has intelligence combined with vast business experience to understand what our country needs.

I have enjoyed knowing Dave for over twenty years. First as the owner of Protel and eventually as a friend. I purchased my first phone system from Dave in 1986. It wasn’t just because he bought lunch, I have come to find that he always buys lunch. After all this time I can attest to several things about Dave; he is persistent in his efforts to achieve goals, he is straight forward, he enjoys people, he believes what he believes with deep resolve and conviction but is always willing to hear another opinion, he loves to argue, he tells great stories, and he keeps his word.

Comment:  I have known Dave for almost 10 years.  I provided massage therapy for his employees and was always amazed by the loyalty and love his staff held for him.  Dave has consulted for my husband's business and his perpective and advice has been invaluable.

Comment: Dave was my employer for well over a decade and he was and will always be a man of his word. He cared about his employees professionally as well as personally. He goes after what he thinks is best ethically and with great passion.
